Objectives and Outcomes:
The primary objective of the Doctor of Apostolic Leadership and Applied Theology is to enhance students’ corporate apostolic leadership and applied theological understanding.

Great emphasis is placed on applied ministry for persons who have engaged in substantial ministerial leadership. The goals of Doctor of Apostolic Leadership and Applied Theology are directed to individuals’ knowledge of religious heritage, understanding of the seven missional (mountains) of cultural influence, context and cultural contextualization, growth in spiritual depth and moral integrity, and capacity for ministerial and public leadership.

Learning outcomes congruent with Christ’s Great Commandment, commission and dominion mandate. Students shall demonstrate that they have achieved the goals or learning outcomes of the program by means of direct and indirect evidence of student learning.

These specific, learning outcomes will shape and inform the design of all courses, supervised ministry experiences, formation activities, and other instructional strategies to establish a coherent and integrated curriculum for the Doctor of Apostolic Leadership and Applied Theology program.

7 Core Courses (On-line):
Students will have rigorous, guided on-line study in a cohort format. With an advanced on-line learning system, a well-designed course structure, and a cohort mentor, WLI students will gain valuable knowledge, discuss best practices and receive a paradigm shift for their ministry and leadership development.

5 Elective Courses (On-line or On-site): Students will choose preferred elective courses from 30 WLI On-line electives or students could choose to participate at one of WLI’s 25+ certified regional and international training centers worldwide.

2 Residential trainings (On-site): Students will participate in residential trainings. With two, one week long, face-to-face sessions, students will meet internationally well-known leaders, receive impartation for personal breakthrough, and maximize their learning experience.

1 Final Project: Students will conduct a ministry project and write a thesis paper as the final project for their graduation. No overseas mission trip required for Doctor student.

Application Requirements:

  1. Mature, commited Christian leaders
  2. Leadership Experience (60% weight in admission) : Minimum of five years in a senior leadership role at a local church/organization.
  3. Educational Experience (40% weight in admission):
    1. Must have either a M.Div, M.Theo, or a WLI Master of Leadership and Practical Ministry degree. 
    2. Other Christian study related MA degree holder could apply, but would need to take prerequisite courses.
    3. All non-Christian related MA degree holders are expected to complete WLI Master program first. 
  4. Other prerequisite requirements may apply.
  5. Two letters of recommendation.
  6. Able to conduct on-line learning.

Tuition: $14,800 ($7,400/year x 2)
